My first exposure to photography, was taking trips to museums with my Grandfather. My first "real camera" was a hand me down Yashica Electro 35, the moment I got my hands on that baby I was hooked. I made many trips to various museums and gardens etc. with my Grandfather learning the basics. What really got me excited about photography was the backpacking trips in the Adirondacks where I attempted to shoot landscapes with slide film. As far back as I can remember, it was like the Adirondacks had a magnetic force pulling me towards the extreme beauty and Adventure. One of my favorite activities in in the past was creating slide shows of family trips to the Adirondacks. I now live in Boonville NY on the shores of the Black river just outside the park, where I am able to play in the woods, as well as occasionally trying capture my love for this place in photographic images.
